The trophy awarded to the winner of the Masters tournament (one of snooker's Triple Crown events) was renamed in 2017 in honour of Paul Hunter, who died in 2006 just five days before his 28th birthday. Hunter won the Masters three times – in 2001, 2002 and 2004.
